Privacy Policy

Overview

BrewPrint ("the App") is developed and published by Possisoft ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of BrewPrint on iPhone.

The short version: BrewPrint does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data, and it has no servers and no BrewPrint account. The App works fully offline. If you are signed in to iCloud, your recipes, brew log, and settings sync privately across your own Apple devices through Apple iCloud — we never see that data.

Data We Collect

BrewPrint does not collect any personal information. The App operates entirely on your device and does not require an account, sign-in, or internet connection to function.

The following data is created and stored by the App on your device, and — if you are signed in to iCloud — synced privately to your own Apple devices (see "iCloud Sync" below):

  • Your saved brew recipes and Blueprint configurations (brew method, ratio, water, coffee, grind, water temperature, brew steps, notes, and star rating)
  • Your brew log history
  • App settings including unit preferences (grams/oz, °C/°F), theme, sound and haptic preferences, and timer options
  • Your premium entitlement status (managed by Apple's StoreKit)

On-device, this data is stored using Apple's standard SwiftData and UserDefaults systems. None of it is ever transmitted to Possisoft — we operate no servers and have no ability to access it.

Data We Do Not Collect

BrewPrint does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, or any identifying information
  • Your location
  • Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
  • Crash reports (unless you opt in via iOS system settings)
  • Advertising identifiers

In-App Purchases

BrewPrint may offer optional in-app purchases for premium features. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Possisoft never receives, processes, or stores your payment information. For purchase-related questions, please refer to Apple's billing support.

Third-Party Services

BrewPrint does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only third-party framework used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Analytics

BrewPrint does not include any analytics SDK or tracking code. We do not collect in-app usage data or behavioral analytics.

Apple may independently collect aggregated, anonymous App Store analytics (such as download counts and crash statistics) as described in Apple's Developer Program License Agreement. We have no access to any personally identifiable information through this mechanism.

iCloud Sync

BrewPrint uses Apple iCloud to sync your data privately across the Apple devices signed in to your Apple Account. There is no BrewPrint account and no Possisoft server involved at any point.

  • Your recipes and brew log sync through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit). This data lives in your personal iCloud storage and is accessible only to you and the App on your devices.
  • Your app settings sync through iCloud Key-Value Storage so your preferences follow you to a new device.

iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Possisoft cannot see, access, or retrieve any data you store in iCloud. If you are not signed in to iCloud, BrewPrint works exactly the same way, with all data stored only on your device. You can turn iCloud off for BrewPrint at any time in the iOS Settings app under your name → iCloud.

Children's Privacy

BrewPrint is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@possisoft.com and we will promptly address the situation.

Data Retention and Deletion

You control your data. Deleting BrewPrint from your iPhone removes everything stored locally on that device. To also remove the data held in your private iCloud, delete the App's iCloud data from the iOS Settings app (your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage / Apps Using iCloud), or remove individual recipes and log entries from within the App, which syncs the deletion to your other devices.

Because all of your data lives on your device and in your own iCloud, Possisoft holds no copy of it and cannot delete it on your behalf. If you have questions about your data or about information associated with your App Store purchases, please contact us at hello@possisoft.com.

Security

App data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID). Data synced through iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and travels only between your devices and your private iCloud — it never passes through any Possisoft system.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
