Overview

FlowSpec ("the App") is developed and published by Possisoft ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of FlowSpec on iPhone.

The short version: FlowSpec is a field tool that runs on your device. The job records you create — properties, zones, sprinkler heads, well-pump specs, and any customer details you enter — stay on your iPhone. We do not have access to them. The one exception is optional, anonymous usage statistics that help us understand which features get used; they contain nothing about you, your customers, or their properties, and you can turn them off with a single tap in Settings. Details are in the Analytics section below.

Data We Collect

FlowSpec does not require an account or sign-in to function, and we do not collect your personal information. The only data that ever leaves your device is optional, anonymous usage statistics (described in the Analytics section) and anything you deliberately export or share yourself (described in Reports and Sharing).

The following data is created and stored locally on your device only:

  • Job and property records, including any customer name, address, phone number, or email you enter
  • Controller zones, sprinkler heads and nozzles, flow rates, and run times
  • Well and pump details, such as the pump's make, model, and minimum/maximum flow rate
  • Your company profile used on reports (business name, contact details, and logo)
  • App settings and your premium ("Offline Unlock") entitlement status, managed by Apple's StoreKit

This data is stored on your device and never leaves it except as part of standard iOS system backups (iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup), which are governed by Apple's own privacy policy, or when you choose to export or share it.

Your Clients' Information

FlowSpec is a professional tool for irrigation installers and maintenance technicians. The job records you build may include details about your own customers and their properties. That information belongs to you and your business. It is stored locally on your device, and Possisoft neither receives nor has access to it. You are responsible for the customer information you choose to enter and for handling it in line with any privacy obligations you have to your own clients. If you share a report or a job with someone else (see Reports and Sharing), that information goes wherever you send it.

Data We Do Not Collect

FlowSpec does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:

  • Your job records, customer details, or property information — these never leave your device unless you export or share them
  • Your device's precise location — property addresses are only what you type in, and the App does not access location services
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA), and no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind
  • Crash reports (unless you opt in via iOS system settings)

We do collect anonymous, non-personal usage statistics unless you opt out — see the Analytics section for exactly what that includes.

In-App Purchases

FlowSpec offers a one-time in-app purchase ("Offline Unlock") for its full feature set. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Possisoft never receives, processes, or stores your payment information. For purchase-related questions, please refer to Apple's billing support.

Third-Party Services

FlowSpec does not integrate with any advertising networks or data brokers. It uses two third-party services: Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy; and TelemetryDeck for anonymous analytics, subject to TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy. The analytics service is described in the Analytics section below.

Analytics

FlowSpec collects anonymous usage statistics to understand which features are used and to improve the App. This is limited to product-interaction events — for example, that a job was created, a zone was added, or a report was exported — along with basic anonymous technical details such as app version, device model, iOS version, and country/region. It also includes an anonymous identifier that is not tied to your name, email, Apple ID, or any account.

We do not collect your job records, customer details, property information, or any personal data; we do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA); and we do not track you across other apps or websites, or share data with data brokers.

These statistics are processed on our behalf by TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany), an analytics provider built for privacy and operating under the EU's GDPR. TelemetryDeck is designed so the data it receives is not personally identifiable and cannot be traced back to you. See TelemetryDeck's Privacy Policy for details.

Analytics are on by default and entirely optional. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Usage Stats. With analytics off, the App sends nothing.

Separately, Apple may collect aggregated, anonymous App Store analytics (such as download counts and crash statistics) as described in Apple's Developer Program License Agreement. We have no access to any personally identifiable information through this mechanism.

Reports and Sharing

FlowSpec can generate PDF reports and let you share a job with another technician. This only ever happens when you initiate it. When you export a report or share a job, FlowSpec hands the file to iOS's standard share sheet, and it goes only where you send it — for example, to Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or Files. Possisoft is not a party to that transfer and does not receive a copy.

iCloud and Device Sync

FlowSpec does not currently use iCloud or any cloud sync service. All of your job records, company profile, and preferences remain on-device. (The optional, anonymous analytics described above are not personal data and are not synced to your account.) Optional cloud sync and crew collaboration are planned as a future, separate offering; if and when that ships, this policy will be updated before the feature is released.

Children's Privacy

FlowSpec is a professional tool intended for use by adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@possisoft.com and we will promptly address the situation.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because FlowSpec stores all of your job data locally on your device, you are in control of it at all times. You can delete individual jobs within the App, or remove everything by deleting the App from your iPhone, which permanently removes all locally stored records, your company profile, and settings.

Security

Your job records and customer details are not transmitted to us. The anonymous usage statistics the App sends (when enabled) travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
