Overview
PlatePal ("the App") is developed and published by Possisoft ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of PlatePal on iPhone.
The short version: PlatePal is a local, offline calculator. It does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. The only information stored by the App stays on your device.

Data We Collect
PlatePal does not collect any personal information. The App operates entirely on your device and does not require an account, sign-in, or internet connection to function.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
- Your plate inventory configuration (plate quantities and infinite flags)
- Your barbell selection and unit system preference (lb or kg)
- Your premium entitlement status (managed by Apple's StoreKit)
- App settings such as your chosen app icon preference
This data is stored using Apple's standard UserDefaults system and never leaves your device except as part of standard iOS system backups (iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup), which are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Data We Do Not Collect
PlatePal does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any identifying information
- Your location
- Health or fitness data
- Usage analytics or behavior tracking
- Crash reports (unless you opt in via iOS system settings)
- Advertising identifiers
In-App Purchases
PlatePal offers an optional in-app purchase for premium features. All purchase transactions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. Possisoft never receives, processes, or stores your payment information. For purchase-related questions, please refer to Apple's billing support.
Third-Party Services
PlatePal does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only third-party framework used is Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Analytics
PlatePal does not include any analytics SDK or tracking code. We do not collect any in-app usage data or behavioral analytics.
Apple may independently collect aggregated, anonymous App Store analytics (such as download counts and crash statistics) as described in Apple's Developer Program License Agreement. We have no access to any personally identifiable information through this mechanism.
iCloud and Device Sync
PlatePal does not currently use iCloud or any cloud sync service. All data remains on-device. If iCloud sync is added in a future version, this policy will be updated before the feature ships.
Children's Privacy
PlatePal is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@possisoft.com and we will promptly address the situation.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because PlatePal stores all data locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by deleting the App from your iPhone. This permanently removes all locally stored preferences and settings.

Security
Because PlatePal does not transmit personal data, there is no data in transit to secure. App preferences stored on your device are protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and your device's own security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
