Overview

ErgSwap ("the App") is developed and published by Possisoft ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of ErgSwap on iPhone.

The short version: ErgSwap collects nothing. No personal information, no usage statistics, no analytics, no advertising identifiers. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server to talk to. Everything the App remembers, meaning your equipment list, presets, and preferences, is stored on your iPhone and stays there. The App does not send data anywhere, so there is nothing for us to see, store, share, or sell.

Data We Collect

None. ErgSwap does not collect, transmit, or receive any data about you or your use of the App. It does not require an account, it does not ask you to sign in, and it does not contact any server operated by us or by anyone else in the course of doing its job.

Because nothing is collected, there is no data for us to retain, no data to share with third parties, and no data to sell. We could not identify an individual user of ErgSwap if we tried.

What ErgSwap Stores on Your Device

The App remembers your settings so you do not have to enter them each time. This information is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard UserDefaults system. It is not collection: we never receive it, and it never leaves your device except as part of standard iOS system backups (iCloud Backup or iTunes/Finder backup), which are governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

  • Which cardio equipment you have marked as available in your gym
  • Your saved distance presets
  • Your conversion preferences, meaning scaled or flat ratios and which chart column to read
  • App settings such as your chosen appearance, and whether you have completed onboarding

The conversions themselves are calculated on your device from charts built into the App, which is why ErgSwap works with no signal and in airplane mode.

Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, ErgSwap does not collect, transmit, or have access to any of the following:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information
  • Any account or user identifier, because the App has no accounts
  • Your location, precise or coarse
  • Health or fitness data. ErgSwap does not read from or write to Apple Health, and the workouts you convert are not recorded or transmitted anywhere
  • Usage statistics, product analytics, feature telemetry, or session data of any kind
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any advertising data
  • Device identifiers, diagnostics, or performance data
  • Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, camera, or any other device data
  • Purchase history, since the App has no in-app purchases

Tracking

ErgSwap does not track you. We do not link any data to your identity, and we do not share any data with data brokers, advertising networks, or any other third party for advertising or measurement purposes. The App does not follow you across other apps or websites.

That is what Apple means by "tracking" in its App Tracking Transparency framework. Because ErgSwap does none of it, the App never asks for permission to track, and you will not see that prompt.

Third-Party Services

ErgSwap does not integrate with any analytics provider, advertising network, attribution service, crash reporting service, or data broker. No third party receives data from the App.

Separately, and outside the App, Apple may collect aggregated, anonymous App Store measurements such as download counts and crash statistics, as described in Apple's Developer Program License Agreement and in Apple's own privacy policy. That happens at the platform level rather than inside ErgSwap, and it gives us no personally identifiable information about you.

In-App Purchases

ErgSwap does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. If paid features are added in a future version, all purchase transactions would be processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit, and Possisoft would never receive, process, or store your payment information. This policy will be updated before any such feature ships.

iCloud and Device Sync

ErgSwap does not use iCloud, CloudKit, or any other cloud sync service. Your equipment list, presets, and preferences live on the one device and are not synced between devices. If sync is added in a future version, this policy will be updated before the feature ships.

Children's Privacy

ErgSwap is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no data at all, it collects no data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and have questions about the App, please contact us at hello@possisoft.com.

Data Retention and Deletion

We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. The settings stored on your device are removed when you delete the App from your iPhone, which permanently erases your equipment list, presets, and preferences.

Your Privacy Rights

Privacy laws including the EU and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar regimes give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information a company holds about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing.

We do not collect or process any personal information through ErgSwap, so we hold nothing to disclose, correct, delete, or port, and we have never sold or shared personal information. You are welcome to contact us at hello@possisoft.com with any question about this, and we will respond.

Security

ErgSwap transmits no data, which removes an entire category of risk: there is no account to compromise, no server holding your information, and nothing in transit to intercept. The settings stored on your device are protected by iOS's built-in app sandboxing and by your device's own security features such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

App Store Privacy Details

ErgSwap's App Store listing declares "Data Not Collected" in Apple's App Privacy section. That declaration matches this policy: the App collects no data of any kind.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future version of the App ever collects anything, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details before that version ships. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
